Hey gals!! Just wanted to send a few lines to let you guys know that I am praying for each and every one of you and that I am so excited about serving Christ over this VN weekend. God is so great and I know his spirit is already with us as we begin to prepare for this. Each of you are called according to his great purpose no matter where you are serving. I hope you girls have a great week and that it is a spirit blessed one as well. Continue to seek his face. I love you all!!

"How To "Blog" 101

It has come to my attention that several of you more mature princesses are not familar with "blogging". (Me either until VERY recently) Blogging is this method of commmunicating with each other. Kind of like a VN bulletin board.
I encourage you to all post your VN thoughts on this website. All you have to do is go to the bottom of any of the postings where it says " _comments" Click on that and you will be asked to "register" or "create an account". NO FEAR>>>>this is not hard to do!! I promise., and once you do it, you don't have to register again. Even for us older princesses, we CAN do it!!. (Just remember your name and password) Next you will be able to write a note, a letter of encouragement or even just your thoughts. I really would like to see your unique palanca ideas listed here.
I hear lots of girls say they visit this site every day to keep up with VN stuff so PLEASE help me to make it interesting!!
As always I am keeping you all in prayer and am counting down the days till our first meeting!
I am still interested in hosting a sleep over for all girls who are interested. NOW IS THE TIME--before it gets hectic. Please email me or post here. I will send you time and details.

Stuff on my mind

Hi girls!
The reply emails with your contact information are pouring in! The cooperation of this team is already evident and with such willing spirits as we have, I know God will do mighty things with us!
I know that the candidates are "WHO" this weekend is for, but let's face it....We all struggle with the uncertainty of our future and the questions of our past. He WILL be doing a work in ALL of US THIS WEEKEND! Get ready!!!!!
I am praying daily for each of you and ask that you also pray for the candidates that will be brought to VN #5!
I was excited to get an email from BJ Stiener, our head prayer cha. She is keeping each of you in prayer by name and is getting her prayer chas together to start praying even BEFORE the team meetings begin. What a wonderful prayer warrior and sweet sister!
Palanca is coming up with some funny skits. I know that the Flintstones have been mentioned.
Again, I say....now is the best time to start your palanca letters!!!!!!!
Also, let us know what palanca you are making/buying so we get some great ideas to share. You can post here--just click "comment" at the end of this post.
We have a fearless kitchen couple now. Linda and Marv Hubbard had to bow out this time because of some health issues Marv is having. (PLEASE KEEP HIM IN PRAYER)
Pat and Carl Pregel are taking over as head and asst. head. Linda and Marv will be serving in the kitchen if they are able.
Again I ask for prayers for our speakers. They are going to be giving there talks to the core team next Saturday.
One more prayer request and then I will stop for now....Tres Dias team meetings are starting THIS Saturday. Please pray for the team and for this weekends rectors/directors-

Greetings to God's team of Vida Nueva Tampabay #5 !
I am so psyched about the upcoming weekend !
Lots of you have emailed me about your excitement in serving on #5. I can feel it in my heart, that God has a special weekend planned. I know that we will laugh, cry and eat lots of palanca with our new sisters-and our Heavenly Father will be looking down at us - smiling !!!
Again, I encourage you to start your palanca letters now. If you do one per day, you will be done BEFORE the weekend and all you will have to do is add the name. Believe me...this takes so much stress off of the weekend and the girls get FULL bags of letters. Remember how overwhelmed YOU were when you received all the letters from girls you didn't even know???!!
Speaking of "pre-planning", our first meeting is Sept. 17 at 9:30 at Peninsular Christian. If you can bring just $20 to each meeting, your team fees will be covered before the weekend begins. Remember, finances will never keep anyone from serving or attending a VN weekend, but if you contribute even just a little each team meeting, we can all be better stewards of "God's money".

VN update

Hi ladies!
I am getting really excited about our upcoming weekend. Most everyone has been assigned a position on the team, so if you have not heard from me please email me at vntb5@yahoo.com and let me know. Please keep our speakers in prayer as they are finishing up their talks and will present them to the core team on the 27th of this month.
As you probably know, our weekend verse is
Isaiah 25:1

I encourage you all to start on your palanca letters. If you write just one per day you will get them all done before the weekend. You may start the letter as "Dear Sister in Christ" or something to that effect, or you may leave the salutation empty until we get the candidate list. Either way, getting them done early sure takes the stress off of doing them at the last minute.
In fact, I challenge you all to do this. You can report your progress here so to encourge your sisters to do the same. Remember how important these letters were to you? When you looked into your bag and saw the stack of letters from girls you didn't even know????

OUR GOD ROCKS!!! ;)

Hello ladies~
I hope everyone is doing awesome. I want you all to know that I have been praying for each and every one of us from the start. You all are so precious to this weekend and I know that God is already working on this weekend. I pray that each one of you begin to fall even more in love with Him as time progresses because that is what is going to pour out on the candidates. Ladies-the enemy is trying everything in his power to kill and destroy what God has in store for the candidates and also for what he has in store for us as workers. I encourage everyone of you to realize that exactly where you are serving is where God needs you. He has put you in that position for a reason you can't comprehend. I know this because this has been a huge struggle for me lately. I have felt very inadequate to be the youth director feeling like I am not the person for the job; whether it was because I felt I wasn't "holy" enough or because the enemy was feeding me those lies. But even through all my doubts and worries the Voice of Truth has made it clear that He is in control and that I have to be a living sacrifice for him, in myself I can do nothing but it is in His glory that I can help Him this coming weekend. I hope each of you can realize this as well. Girls, it is going to be an awesome weekend and I am so overly excited about what is going to happen. I love each and everyone of you and can't wait to get excited about Him together. Remember Romans 8:28 "All things work for the good of those who love the Lord and who have been called according to His purpose" Ladies-for this weekend I know that we have been called according to His purpose so even though trials may come these next few weeks remember that He has already promised us that everything will come t0gether for the good. Hold firm to his promises. I love you all because he first loved me.

New PALANCA ideas!

Just a quick note-I have to start getting ready for work!
Dee Knox told me that Target has set out a lot of pink, and some pink and black, Princess items in the "dollar" isle. She said there are pens with crowns, notebooks that say Princess, etc. This would be a great source for palanca if some of you want to go together to purchase this. You would need a total of 60, but if your reunion group or even just some VN friends wanted to go together to buy these, that would be a great idea. For those of you that have not heard, the weekend colors will be pink and black. Well, I will be posting more information later this evening, but for now, it's off to work I go.
